Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I work in mixed media, collage and oil. My paintings are
primarily figurative with a little grunge and a little glamour blended with soft abstract realism. My art is influenced partly by my work in the health and beauty industry and partly from my 30 years of experience in 12 step programs as a recovery tool to heal past relationship trauma.
I consider myself a Spiritual Entrepreneur, a Hopeful Romantic and a Highly Sensitive Person living from the heart as is evident in a lot of my paintings. Heart shapes seem to randomly appear in my art during the painting process.
The soul of my art is ultra feminine inspired through embracing the strength of being highly sensitive, witnessing the beauty of both the light and shadow of human nature, the inner transformation from self destructive to reconstructive, the awakening of our divine nature and the reckoning of the heart.
Almost always during the creative process the piece takes on a voice of its own. The themes of the women I paint “Speak” about the recovery process from Relationship Addiction, Domestic Violence and Repressed Sexuality.
It is with authenticity and dedication to a daily practice that I endeavor to offer an encouraging and empowering voice to the brokenhearted and the highly sensitive that promotes and embraces radical self compassion and forgiveness.
